Dussu Djabula

 

Dussu is a Research Associate and a Member of the Executive Committee at the NOVA Centre on Business, Human Rights and the Environment.

She is a fourth-year undergraduate student at NOVA School of Law and has worked in the gender equality field through the HeForShe movement. She is also the Coordinator of the Sustainable Development Working Group at Generation Climate Europe with a focus on sustainable finance, rethinking our economy and EU climate advocacy.

Dussu has interned at Linklaters in Dispute Resolution, Vieira de Almeida in Social Economy & Human Rights and Espanha e Associados in Labour Law. It was during her internship at Vieira de Almeida that she first engaged with Business and Human Rights. Since then, she has remained committed to developing a greater knowledge of what Business, Human Rights, and the Environment entails.

In the centre, she is a researcher on the project “Improving the effectiveness of non-judicial remedies for business-related human rights abuses”, assists with grant proposals, external relations, internal management, and organizes events.

Dussu has opened the episode on “Corporate Due Diligence and Gender Equality” of the webinar series “Business and Human Rights in Europe: Connecting the Dots”, and the first “Annual Conference on Business, Human Rights and Sustainability” with a speech titled “An Intersectional Perspective on Climate Change”.
